Keeler donates equipment to Vision Care for Homeless People

Keeler has made a donation of eye care equipment to the charitable organisation Vision Care for Homeless People.

A range of ophthalmoscopes and retinoscopes have been provided by the manufacturer for use at the not-for-profit organisation's London clinic, allowing it to provide free eye care services and glasses to homeless and vulnerable people.

The clinic is run by trained opticians working on a voluntary basis and is designed to serve the needs of underprivileged people who have little or no access to mainstream health services.

Thanks to this donation, the charity will be able to improve the quality of care it provides and reach a larger number of people.

Laura Haverley, Keeler's senior product manager, said: "Vision Care is a remarkable charity and we are very happy to donate our diagnostic equipment to ensure vulnerable people in the community have access to high-quality eye care."

It follows a donation of a Pulsair intellipuff to the same charity in 2008, a contribution that has helped the organisation carry out eye examinations for some years.
