Elsevier launches Journal of Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders
Elsevier has introduced a new medical journal compiling the latest advances in the field of obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD), which will be published quarterly.
The first issue of the Journal of Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders is available online now via SciVerse ScienceDirect and offers high-quality research and clinically-oriented articles addressing all aspects of these debilitating mental conditions.
Assessing obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders such as trichotillomania, hoarding and body dysmorphic disorder, the journal aims to explore uncertainties surrounding OCD and highlight research that can lead to the development of better treatments and prevention.
Editor-in-chief Professor Jonathan Abramowitz, of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, said: "My vision for the journal is to create an international and interdisciplinary forum to foster communication and collaboration across the various clinical and academic fields concerned with OCD."
This comes in the same week that the publisher also introduced the Journal of Applied Research in Memory and Cognition, focusing on the real-world application of cognitive theory.
