Stratec announces record sales in 2011

Stratec has revealed the results for its financial year in 2011, with the company achieving substantial growth in line with its forecasts and predicting further expansion in the future.

The firm generated sales of 116.6 million euros (97.6 million pounds) over the course of the year, meaning it has broken its previous record.

This growth was largely driven by a jump in the number of newly supplied analyzer systems, as well as by higher sales of maintenance and replacement parts, and represents a 14.3 percent increase from the 2012 figure.

Furthermore, the sale of shares generated with replacement parts and consumables grew to reach roughly 23.5 percent of total sales, another development forecast by the company earlier in the year.

Although Stratec expects increased growth in 2012, this could be affected by macroeconomic factors and plans to ramp up production on new systems.

This comes after the company announced a strategic partnership with the Quanterix Corporation late last year.
