Nobel Biocare commences 2012 scientific symposia programme

26th March 2012

Nobel Biocare has kicked off a series of six scientific symposia in locations across Europe and North America for 2012, starting with a meeting in Sweden last week.

The dental technology supplier is holding the events in order to mark the 60th anniversary of the discovery of the technique of osseointegration, as well as the 30th anniversary of its international acceptance at the landmark Toronto Conference.

Sweden's Gothenburg, the home of osseointegration pioneer Professor Per-Ingvar Branemark, was the site for the inaugural event from March 21st to 23rd, with some of the leading dental experts from around the world in attendance.

Coming next will be meetings in France's Avignon, Hamburg in Germany and Odessa, Ukraine in June, before the final symposia are held in Rimini, Italy and Toronto in October.

This comes after Nobel Biocare named Frank Mengis as its senior vice-president for global operations earlier this month, a role he will assume this summer.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801326324-ADNFCR
