St Jude Medical launches new EnSite Velocity cardiac mapping software

St Jude Medical has announced the launch of the latest version of its software for the EnSite Velocity cardiac mapping system.

Version 3.0 of the software program is optimised to shorten procedure times for patients receiving electrophysiology treatment guided by cardiac mapping, with the aim of enhancing laboratory process efficiency.

New features of the software include its OneModel tool, which can be used to rapidly create a detailed model of a patient's cardiac anatomy, while its Adaptive Respiration Compensation capabilities automatically accounts for changes in breathing patterns throughout the process.

Launching worldwide this week, the software is an open platform and represents the only cardiac mapping system that supports eight non-English languages for its user interface.

Jane Song, president of the St Jude Medical atrial fibrillation division, said: "St Jude Medical is committed to offering physicians efficient and effective tools that help deliver curative solutions to improve patients' lives."
