Merck Millipore has announced the launch of its new Mobius CellReady 50 L single-use stirred tank bioreactor, for use in process development and pilot-scale mammalian cell culture.
The latest addition to the company's portfolio of single-use processing systems features Mobius SensorReady technology that offers flexibility for monitoring and controlling processes with a variety of conventional and single-use sensor technologies.
Its unique standardised bioreactor process container design is optimised for simple and reliable installation, while its open architecture allows interoperability with a range of automation platforms.
Paul Chapman, vice-president of biopharmaceutical process solutions at Merck Millipore, said: "With this introduction, biopharmaceutical manufacturers now have a wider range of scalable single-use bioreactors offered by Merck Millipore, from three litres to 200 litres, to support their needs from process development to clinical scale."
Earlier this week, the company also introduced the new Direct Detect biomolecular quantitation system, a device that aims to provide numerous functional benefits compared to traditional Bradford and Lowry assays.
