Horiba Scientific launches LabSpec 6 Raman software at Pittcon

Horiba Scientific has introduced its new LabSpec 6 Raman software platform at the 2012 Pittcon life sciences conference and exhibition.

The user-friendly innovation is compatible with the manufacturer's full range of Raman, cathodoluminescence and photoluminescence spectrometers and provides comprehensive data acquisition, processing and display functionality.

Offering a complete Raman software application, it coaches users on key processes and features such as system setup, Raman spectrum data and map acquisition, measurement and data processing, and report generation.

Other beneficial features include the device's redesigned interface, intuitive data browser, integrated Multivariate Analysis module and customisable report generation tool.

"LabSpec 6 is simple yet powerful software which allows researchers to handle advanced analytical functionalities in multiuser environments without needing to learn the intricacies of a new software platform," the company added.

Earlier this month, Horiba Scientific also announced that Bio-Rad's KnowItAll Informatics System software package is set to be offered for use across the complete range of Raman spectrometers.
