Advanced Medical Solutions sees revenue growth in 2011
Advanced Medical Solutions has reported an eight percent year-on-year increase in revenue during the 2011 business year.
The medical technology firm generated 34.4 million pounds in sales last year, while experiencing a double-digit rise in operating margins, profit and earnings per share totals.
Key business highlights over the last 12 months included rising foam, silver alginate and LiquiBand revenues, while the company's new facility in Winsford also helped to deliver efficiency and margin improvements.
Future growth prospects were also improved by the 63.8 million euro (53.26 million pounds) acquisition of the German woundcare and wound closure business Resorba.
The takeover will improve Advanced Medical Solutions' cross-selling opportunities and will allow it to gain access to the oral surgery market for the first time.
Dr Don Evans, chairman of Advanced Medical Solutions, said: "2011 was another year of strong revenue and profit growth … Prospects for 2012 look good and we look forward to the future with considerable optimism."
