Idexx Laboratories has announced the launch of STEPs (Simple Tools for Effective Protocols), an online guide designed to improve best practice standards in the veterinary profession.
The free web-based guide offers animal health practice managers or owners guidance on how to better manage change, providing tools pertaining to staff training, protocol implementation, pet-owner education and progress monitoring.
It comes as an extension to the existing Idexx Learning Centre and is integrated with the recently-launched Pet Health Network, providing a comprehensive range of support tools for the veterinary sector.
Christina Peterson, education marketing manager for Idexx, said: "From management training, sample scripts and role plays that build staff confidence, to medical algorithms, client brochures and consent forms - it's all there in one easy-to-follow, self-guided programme at no charge."
Last month, the company announced the launch of new phenobarbital blood level testing capabilities for its popular Catalyst Dx chemistry analyser, with the aim of providing more responsive care for seizure patients.
