Sirona launches new DVD guide to diode lasers

Sirona is moving to improve the user-friendliness of its diode laser range with the introduction of a new DVD offering guidance on treatment methodology.

The second edition of the user guide for SIROLaser Advance and SIROLaser Xtend provides a series of short films offering illustrations of how various treatment options function in practical situations.

It will demonstrate how the devices should be installed and operated, as well as providing specific guidance on how adjuvant laser treatment can be applied to periodontology, endodontics and minimally invasive surgical procedures such as frenectomy.

Ingo Hoever, product manager at Sirona, said the DVD can also help to show patients how the laser will be used prior to treatment, thus helping to enhance communication.

"Newcomers will receive a key initial orientation into the broad spectrum of applications and the intuitive use of our diode lasers from these films," the Sirona representative added.

Earlier this month, the company reported its financial data for the first quarter of 2012, highlighting a year-on-year sales increase of almost ten percent.
