Takeda wins award for sustainability reporting standards

3rd February 2012

Takeda has been presented with an industry accolade for the quality of its sustainability reporting in 2011.

The company was chosen for the special prize in the sustainability reporting category of the 15th Green Reporting and Sustainability Reporting Awards, which are co-sponsored by Toyo Keizai and the Green Reporting Forum.

Having secured second prize for its annual report and corporate social responsibility (CSR) data book in 2010 and first place in 2011, Takeda claimed the top award again in 2012 thanks to the further improvements that have been made.

A review committee said the documents "act as a model for the reporting that integrates the corporate annual report and CSR report, thus serving as a leading light in future CSR reporting".

Takeda pledged to continue expending efforts to raising standards in the years to come, as part of its corporate citizenship responsibilities.

Last month, the company announced a series of business consolidation and streamlining plans that will help it to better incorporate the functions of new subsidiary Nycomed, positioning it well for future growth.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801283158-ADNFCR
