DJO Global appoints new chairman and director

DJO Global has announced a series of additions to its leadership structure, led by the appointment of Mike Zafirovski as its new non-executive chairman of the board.

Mr Zafirovski, a senior advisor to the Blackstone Group, was elected to the board on January 5th and has been appointed as the successor to former chairman Les Cross, who remains a board member.

This coincides with the selection of John Murphy as a new company director and chairman of the DJO Global audit committee, joining the business following tenures with businesses such as O'Reilly Automotive and Accuride.

In addition, the firm also confirmed the departure of Lesley Howe as a board member, following his resignation on December 30th 2011.

Mike Mogul, DJO Global's president and chief executive officer, said: "Mike and John bring a wealth of experience and proven track records to DJO Global."

This follows on from last month's announcement of the departure of chief financial officer Luke Faulstick, which will be finalised next month.
