BDTA Award presented to Henry Schein veteran

16th January 2012

The British Dental Trade Association (BDTA) has presented an award to Terry Abbott of Henry Schein in recognition of his contributions to the UK oral health sector.

Mr Abbott has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious BDTA Award following a dental industry career spanning more than half a century, rising to his current role of UK training and development manager for Henry Schein in 2001.

Prior to joining his present employer in 1994, he worked in various commercial roles at Dentsply, while also serving for several years in the Royal Army Dental Corps.

Mr Abbott has also made significant direct contributions to the BDTA in his role as chairman of its training committee, helping to develop the BDTA Certificate training course that has been used to educate many members on fundamental basics.

His award was accepted by co-worker Simon Gambold at the British Dental Association Honours and Awards Dinner in November 2011.

Last month, the organisation officially welcomed its new president Simon Tucker during its annual midwinter meeting in London.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801265941-ADNFCR
