Carestream Dental agrees data-sharing deal with Lexicomp

Carestream Dental has entered into a new data-sharing alliance with drug information and data solutions provider Lexicomp.
The new agreement will allow the dental technology firm to provide access to Lexicomp's subscription-based database of drug information and clinical reference content via its SoftDent, PracticeWorks, Windent and WinOMS CS software.
It is expected that this integration of clinical content data with practice management software will deliver care quality improvements for patients, while also streamlining office administration processes.
Patrik Eriksson, president and chief executive officer for Carestream Dental, said the enhanced functionality will also help to reduce the likelihood of errors and can save time for users.
"Our goal for this partnership is to maximise oral health professionals' ability to further streamline office management and spend quality time on patient care," he added.
In October 2011, the company announced the launch of the CS 9300C, a digital cephalometric module for the CS 9300 imaging system.
