Ansell launches new Gammex Powder-Free gloves in Europe

Ansell has announced the launch of its new Gammex Powder-Free gloves with AMT Antimicrobial Technology in Europe.
The new surgical glove offering has been available in Australia since 2010 and is now being introduced internationally, providing safety and comfort benefits for users.
Gammex is the first surgical glove to incorporate a proprietary antimicrobial coating, offering a clinically-proven second level of protection to users in case the glove itself is breached in any way.
Their natural rubber latex composition also provides enhanced sensitivity and low allergenicity, with Ansell to demonstrate the product to European users at medical conferences over the coming months.
Marcus Heimann, marketing director for medical solutions in the EMEA and India region at Ansell Healthcare, said: "Gammex Powder-Free with AMT acts like a second skin, with its own immune system to further protect surgical teams against harmful pathogens."
This comes after the firm announced last month that it has purchased a minority stake in Yulex Corporation, a manufacturer of guayule-derived biopolymers for use in creating gloves that can minimise allergic reactions.
