Leica Microsystems has announced the launch of its new ChromoPlex 1 Dual Detection for BOND, an innovative one-step detection system for the assessment of antibodies.
The new offering is the first fully automated detection system allowing for the co-visualisation of mouse and rabbit antibodies on a single slide and makes it easier for scientists to achieve same-day diagnoses.
It is a biotin-free, polymeric horseradish peroxidase-linker and polymeric alkaline phosphatase-linker antibody conjugate system, providing small multifunctional linkers for enhanced tissue penetration and sensitivity, while also offering easy antigen differentiation.
The product will be made available for sale in both the EU and US from December 1st 2011.
Konstantin Fiedler, vice-president of advanced staining for Leica Microsystems, said: "When tissue is limited and diagnostic decisions are needed, the most effective use of tissue sections becomes imperative."
Earlier this month, the company announced the acquisition of the microscopy and histopathology business of Labindia Instruments, which will support its global expansion plans.
