Hologic has announced plans to demonstrate a new range of women's imaging technology innovations at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting.
The company will attend the Chicago event at the end of this month to demonstrate products such as the Hologic Selenia Dimensions 2D and 3D system for breast tomosynthesis, as well as innovations in fields from extremity imaging to osteoporosis risk assessment.
Various lectures and hands-on sessions will be held for the 3D mammography device, which allows 2D digital mammograms and 3D tomosynthesis exams to be conducted via a single compression, making breast cancer diagnosis easier.
Other products that will be on display include the Eviva and ATEC biopsy devices, Trident mobile specimen radiolography system and Sentinelle Endo Coil for pelvic imaging.
Rob Cascella, president and chief executive officer of Hologic, said: "This has been an exciting year for Hologic as we continue our focus on improving technology for the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer."
Earlier this month, the company attended the 2011 American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists congress, where it demonstrated brand offerings such as Aquilex, GyneSim and Adiana.
