Quintiles wins awards for clinical research websites

Quintiles has been presented with three awards recognising its work on the development of its online clinical research resources.

The site has won two International Davey Awards for the effectiveness of the ClinicalResearch.com site in helping to connect patients to data from relevant clinical studies, highlighting the work being done to treat their conditions.

Moreover, a Web Health Award has been presented to Quintiles for its corporate Facebook presence, which it uses to provide relevant content to patients, customers, employees and jobseekers alike.

David Coman, Quintiles' senior vice-president for communications and patient recruitment, said it is important to engage potential clinical trial recruits, as the majority of those involved in these studies say they would be keen to do so again.

"We believe that doing the right thing for the patient will ultimately benefit not only Quintiles, but our industry at large," he added.

Last month, the biopharmaceutical services provider was named one of the best multinational employers in the world in a survey compiled by the Great Places to Work Institute.
