Bristol-Myers Squibb reorganises senior management team

21st October 2011

Bristol-Myers Squibb has announced a number of changes to its senior management team, as it seeks to strengthen its biopharmaceutical development strategies.

The company has appointed Giovanni Caforio, its former senior vice-president for oncology and immunology global commercialisation, to the role of president of US pharmaceuticals.

Meanwhile, chief financial officer Charles Bancroft and European global commercialisation head Beatrice Cazala have both been made executive vice-presidents, taking on additional responsibilities.

All three will be made part of the senior management team and will report directly to chief executive officer Lamberto Andreotti.

"I am excited to expand the roles of Giovanni, Charlie and Beatrice and look forward to working with these three senior leaders and the rest of my management team," Mr Andreotti said.

Earlier this week, the company announced a new scheme that will see it providing grants to aid cancer care projects in central and eastern Europe.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800771290-ADNFCR
