Kimberly-Clark has been named medical device company of the year at the PM360 Trailblazer Awards, recognising its strong performance in recent months.
The business was awarded the honour by leading industry publication PM360 based on its strong performance in terms of talent development, social responsibility and innovation in marketing, among other positive attributes.
Initiatives for which the firm received specific praise include its Kimberly-Clark Knowledge Network and its PR efforts across Facebook, as well as its successful partnership with Rhode Island School of Design.
Robyn Whalen, marketing director of Kimberly-Clark Health Care's medical device division in the US, said this award reflects the contributions of everyone at the company.
"We strive to offer medical professionals a wide portfolio of solutions to empower safer healthcare and improve the quality of patients' lives," she said.
This comes after the firm announced earlier this year that it has expanded its participation in the World Wildlife Fund's Global Forest and Trade Network initiative, which focuses on responsible sourcing of wood fibres.
