Leica introduces new transmitted-light microscope bases
Leica Microsystems has announced the launch of a new range of transmitted-light bases for use with a wide array of stereomicroscopes.
The new product offering includes the general-use Leica TL3000 ST base, Leica TL4000 BFDF darkfield base, the Rottermann Contrast technology-equipped Leica TL4000 RC and TL4000 RCI devices and the flat TL5000 Ergo unit.
Each has been optimised for different stereo and macroscope applications, from the documentation of single cells to the screening of whole animals, while each comes with a range of accessories to further enhance their functionality.
The manufacturer said: "Heating stages, adapters for micromanipulators and the entire Leica Live on Stage product line open a full range of applications previously beyond the capabilities of stereomicroscopes."
This comes after Leica Microsystems announced a new collaboration with TrueVision 3D Surgical last month, which will see key components of TrueVision's 3D intelligent digital visualisation and guidance platform incorporated into various new Leica surgical products.
