Carestream Dental launches CS 9300C cephalometric imaging system

Carestream Dental has announced the launch of a new digital cephalometric module for its CS 9300 extraoral imaging system.

The CS 9300C adds cephalometric imaging capabilities to the dental care system, allowing dental professionals to perform a wider range of diagnostic functions without needing to utilise external imaging centres.

Cephalometric images can be acquired via a single shot, reducing the risk of blurring or distortion due to patient movement, while its high-frequency generator minimises the patient's radiation exposure.

The device also provides high-quality 2D digital panoramic imaging and 3D imaging functionality, with up to seven selectable fields of view.

Dr Edward Shellard, chief marketing officer and director of business development for Carestream Dental, said: "From examining complex impactions to viewing root angulation or inclination, the CS 9300C is the perfect all-in-one system for today's orthodontic practice."

The firm also announced this week that the new device has been certified by OraMetrix for application with its SureSmile imaging technology.
