Norgine appoints new chief development officer

Norgine has announced the appointment of Dr Donna McVey as its new chief development officer as of the beginning of this week.

Dr McVey joins the pharmaceutical company from Reckitt Benckiser, where she was employed as director of global regulatory and medical affairs.

She has worked within the pharmaceutical industry for more than 20 years in various senior positions and strategic consultancy roles, while she also spent six years working for the NHS.

Her new role will see her taking charge of key Norgine functions such as medical and regulatory affairs, global pharmacovigilance, intellectual property, and pharmaceutical and preclinical development.

"She will have responsibility for developing Norgine's pipeline, managing and further developing current products and maintaining Norgine's product licences and trial applications," the company said.

Last month, Norgine announced a new collaboration with Alimentary Health, which will see the companies allying on the development of new therapies for gastrointestinal conditions.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800748976-ADNFCR
