Astra Tech launches Atlantis 3D Editor

Astra Tech has announced the launch of the Atlantis 3D Editor tool, for use alongside the Atlantis range of cement-retained implant prosthetics.

The new service is part of the internet-based Atlantis WebOrder system and allows users to make real-time modifications to their patient-specific abutment designs, including core, margin and shoulder adjustments.

It is an evolution of the existing Atlantis 3D Viewer tool that improves efficiency and turnaround time for dental professionals, while giving them around-the-clock access to their Atlantis cases.

"Astra Tech Dental is committed to providing customers with solutions and services that bring them increased simplicity and efficiency in achieving optimised patient-specific solutions," the company said.

Since the beginning of this month, the Astra Tech business unit has been a part of Dentsply, having been sold off by former owner AstraZeneca for strategic reasons.

The newly merged company now ranks as the third-largest dental implants manufacturer in the world, with the takeover expected to benefit all companies involved.
