Procter and Gamble announce research alliance with Hebrew University
Procter and Gamble have entered into a new research and development collaboration with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem that could broadly benefit its worldwide operations.
The global consumer products company has signed a master collaboration agreement with the Israeli facility to conduct studies into areas as diverse as biology, chemistry, colloid and surface science.
It represents the first agreement of its kind signed by the company in this region and will lead to the creation of various cutting-edge products over the coming years.
Procter and Gamble's operations encompass world-leading personal care, hygiene and home care divisions, with its product portfolio including 23 billion-dollar brands.
Jeff Hamner, the multinational firm's vice-president for corporate research and development, said the arrangement will "drive cutting-edge innovations that have the potential to impact a wide range of Procter and Gamble's global product categories".
This comes after the company recorded a ten percent year-on-year growth in sales during the fourth quarter of the 2010-11 business year.
