Ipsen and Inspiration Biopharmaceuticals agree haemophilia partnership

Ipsen has announced plans to ally with Inspiration Biopharmaceuticals to create a haemophilia-oriented commercial organisation in Europe.

The partnership is designed to support Inspiration on the launch of its new pipeline of haemophilia products, including OBI-1 and IB1001, the latter of which will be submitted for European regulatory approval later this year.

A highly specialised commercial team will be recruited and trained by the two companies to oversee these product launches, while taking full advantage of Ipsen's commercial infrastructure and medical network.

The new unit will be part of Ipsen's existing commercial infrastructure and will facilitate Inspiration's entry into the European market.

This comes after the company agreed a new alliance with the Institut de cancerologie Gustave Roussy to conduct research into innovative cancer treatments.
