Mettler Toledo balances praised by Argor-Heraeus

Mettler Toledo's balances have won praise from Argor-Heraeus, which uses the devices in its gold and silver refinery business.

Argor-Heraeus processes precious metals and uses them to produce semi-finished components for jewellers and watch-makers.

Accuracy is an important aspect for the company, given the stringent regulations that are in place from the London Gold Bullion Association and the industry itself.

Precision weighing plays an important role in several processes, including refining, finishing and inspecting incoming materials. The weight is checked before and after each step is undertaken.

Lorenzo Medici, manager of SC Engineering at Argor-Heraeus, commented: "We already use third generation Mettler Toledo balances in our gold and silver refinery where the highest weighing accuracy and reliable results are essential."

Mettler Toledo has also noted the importance of accurate weighing within the food and beverage industry to ensure regulatory compliance.
