Forest Laboratories creates investor presentation

Forest Laboratories has filed a new investor presentation ahead of its annual shareholder meeting later this month.

Available to view online, the presentation is designed to help investors consider a number of important facts about the pharmaceutical company's development before its upcoming director elections.

Ten candidates have been nominated for election, with the annual meeting scheduled to take place on Thursday August 18th.

According to a statement from Forest, the presentation draws attention to the firm's "disciplined research and development effort" and says the company now possesses "one of the deepest and most promising product portfolios in the industry".

Forest currently has nine new products that have either already been launched or will be introduced to the market before 2013.

Earlier this month, the New York-based company announced that its net sales for the first quarter of fiscal 2012 increased by 8.2 percent to $1.1 billion (670.4 million pounds).
