Sanofi names senior vice-president for global services

27th July 2011

Sanofi has announced the appointment of Greg Irace as its new senior vice-president for global services.

Mr Irace, previously the president and chief executive officer of the company's US operations, has been selected for this newly-created role in order to take charge of its global information services functions.

He will be reporting to executive vice-president and chief financial officer Jerome Contamine and retains his position as a member of Sanofi's global management committee.

Mr Contamine said: "I am confident that Greg's dedication and the leadership he has shown in his previous roles will result in his leading this new organisation to great success."

The appointment coincides with Sanofi's announcement that Anne Whitaker will be leaving GlaxoSmithKline to join the firm as president for pharmaceuticals in North America.

Last month, the company appointed Peter Guenter as the new senior vice-president of its European operations as it seeks to strengthen its operations in the region.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800635348-ADNFCR
