Philips has showcased its new oral care products, Sonicare AirFloss and Sonicare DiamondClean, at an event in New York.
Making its debut at the New York City Museum of Art and Design show, Sonicare AirFloss is an interproximal cleaning device that uses a microburst of air and water droplets to clean between teeth.
It is designed to be easier to use than string floss, while also maximising plaque removal and improving gum health.
Erik Hollander, marketing director at Philips Consumer Lifestyle, said: "Research has shown that there are many barriers that prevent people from flossing regularly, from time and convenience to dexterity."
Meanwhile, the new Sonicare DiamondClean toothbrush utilises the same sonic technology as other products in the range to provide a dynamic cleaning action.
It features a diamond-shaped brush head, which offers more bristles and better results than other models.
According to financial data released by the firm this month, the Philips group has seen a four percent year-on-year growth in the last quarter.
