Edelman has announced the appointment of Jackie Cooper as its global vice-chair for brand properties.
In her new role for the company, Ms Cooper will be responsible for developing products, concepts and relationships at the intersection between brand, content and partnerships.
Recognised as a pioneer in the transmedia space, she is currently the creative director and vice-chair of Edelman's UK business, having previously founded the agency JPCR with Robert Phillips.
Ms Cooper stated that her new role will allow her to leverage branded content knowledge to improve its consultative advice and build on advantages over competing firms.
"We must offer pioneering and trailblazing intelligence and delivery in brand communication and content, with the best roll call of specialists, the most informed expertise and the most credible profile," she added.
Earlier this month, the company announced that BBC director of communications Ed Williams will be taking over as its UK chief executive officer in October 2011.
