Procter and Gamble highlights benefits of Pro-Expert toothpaste
Procter and Gamble has highlighted the benefits offered by its recently launched Oral-B Pro-Expert toothpaste, which is described as "fundamentally different" from other oral care offerings.
Dr Robert Gerlach, the co-inventor of the new product at Procter and Gamble, told the Daily Mail that the launch represents the "next chapter of toothpaste technology".
The product is designed to offer benefits such as protection from decay, reduced sensitivity and breath freshness, while clinical studies have shown it is able to remove 96 percent of surface stains within two weeks.
It utilises a combination of two key ingredients – stannous fluoride and polyphosphate – which can help to combat bacteria and prevent tartar build-up.
Dr Gerlach said: "What we have built is a single toothpaste which performs in eight different areas."
Procter and Gamble added the new toothpaste to the Oral-B Pro-Expert range earlier this year after unveiling it at a seminar in Weybridge in January 2011.
