Animalcare appoints new board member

Animalcare has announced that director of marketing Dr Iain Menneer is to become a member of the company's board.

Dr Menneer will take up this new role on July 1st 2011, having been appointed to the director of marketing position earlier this month.

He has been with the company since 2003 and has played a key role in the development and commercialisation of products such as Benazecare, Buprecare, Enrocare and Anivac, as well as acting as head of marketing since July 2009.

Prior to his time with Animalcare, he occupied a position in the University of York's research and innovation office.

Stephen Wildridge, chief executive officer of Animalcare Group, said: "Iain has already had a significant input into the development of the Animalcare business generally … and we look forward to now having his contribution at board level."

Earlier this month, the firm introduced two generic additions to its range of analgesia and anaesthesia products with the launch of Sedastart and Sedastop in the UK and Ireland.
