Arizant highlights progress of 3M takeover transition
Arizant has highlighted the progress being made in rebranding and reorganising its service offering since its acquisition by 3M.
The medical technology firm has been part of the 3M group since an $810 million (496.8 million pounds) takeover deal was agreed between the companies in September 2010.
As a result, Arizant's range of patient warming innovations have now been renamed as the 3M Bair Hugger therapy, 3M Ranger blood and fluid warming systems and 3M Bair Paws system.
This is being supported by changes to the packaging and labelling to include the 3M brand name, although the products themselves and their instructions for use will remain unaltered.
Arizant expressed confidence that 3M's global resources and expertise will help the company to continue innovating in the field of perioperative hypothermia and infection prevention.
"We are excited about these changes, which indicate that the transition process is well on track," said a company statement.
