Biolitec reports improved revenue in year to date
Biolitec has reported an improved financial performance during the first three quarters of its current fiscal year.
In the nine months of the 2010-11 year to date, the healthcare company has generated 26.1 million euros (22.85 million pounds), representing a year-on-year increase of 19 percent.
Growth was reflected across all geographical regions, particularly in Asia, while both its pharmaceutical and medical laser business units have shown strong potential for further expansion.
Dr Wolfgang Neuberger, chief executive officer of Biolitec, stated that the company will be looking to further capitalise on rising demand in Asian and Arab countries to cement its global position.
This builds on the company's performance for 2009-10, during which it generated turnover of 30.4 million euros, with a resurgence noted in the fourth quarter.
Promising items in Biolitec's product portfolio include the head and neck cancer drug Foscan, the Life laser therapy for prostate treatment and the vein treatment ELVeS.
