BDA launches new practice management solution

The British Dental Association (BDA) is launching its own practice management software that will make it easier for dental professionals to stay abreast of the latest regulatory developments.

BDA Expert is a subscription-based service that provides users with access to complete content from documents such as the BDA Practice Compendium, Clinical Governance Kit and CQC Support Kit.

It will be automatically updated with reminders and notifications of any changes to regulations, protocols and practice requirements issued by organisations such as the General Dental Council and Care Quality Commission.

Peter Ward, chief executive of the BDA, said this will allow practices to dedicate less time and energy to regulatory compliance issues and more to patient care.

"It will be like having a personal visit from the BDA team every time that regulations and requirements change," he explained.

Earlier this month, the BDA announced a renewal of its publishing partnership with Nature Publishing Group, the company that produces its official journals.
