Horiba Medical receives CPD accreditation for e-learning courses

Horiba Medical has announced that its e-learning programme has received CPD accreditation from the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS).

The Horiba Medical e-Learning Portal (HeLP) is designed to help haematology and clinical chemistry specialists improve their skills through a series of web-based training courses.

Due to the IBMS accreditation, online learners will now be able to cite completion of the courses as part of their continuing personal or professional development (CPD).

The CPD code will be printed on the final certificate of participants and can then be included in their personal online portfolio as proof of learning.

Commenting on the success of the HeLP platform, UK technical manager at Horiba Medical Mandy Campbell described it as "an exceptionally versatile and responsive service".

She added: "We are able to add new modules, alter existing ones or adapt them for specific customers without having to turn to a third party."

The IBMS represents more than 19,000 members employed throughout the UK, the Republic of Ireland and around the world.
