Reckitt Benckiser confirms departure of IR director

Reckitt Benckiser has announced that investor relations director Joanna Speed is set to leave the company later this year.
The executive intends to pursue new career opportunities outside the organisation and will depart her current role on October 5th.
In a statement, the healthcare and pharmaceutical firm said Ms Speed's decision to resign was in no way linked to recent senior management changes.
The company praised the IR director, who has worked at Reckitt Benckiser since August 2008, for making "significant contributions to the investor relations agenda through result road shows and broker conferences".
It said an announcement regarding Ms Speed's successor will be made in due course.
Rakesh Kapoor was recently unveiled as the replacement for Reckitt Benckiser's chief executive officer Bart Becht, who plans to step down from the role in September this year.
Mr Becht will stay on as a part-time adviser until September 2012 to ensure a smooth transition.
