Agilent launches new thermal cycler for DNA research
Agilent Technologies has launched a new multipurpose thermal cycler that offers greater flexibility and speed when conducting DNA research.
The SureCycler 8800 is a modular system that combines high speed and high volume, meaning scientists will not be required to choose between these two attributes.
It is an intuitively-designed device that provides user-friendly software, a touchscreen interface and compatibility with both 96-well and 384-well microtiter plates.
Other features of this latest addition to the company's polymerase chain reaction solutions portfolio include its temperature gradient capability, which does not interfere with its market-leading uniformity.
Carolyn Reifsnyder, marketing director for QPCR, PCR and Bioreagents at Agilent's genomics division, said: "We remain committed to driving innovation in life science research with complete customer-focused solutions."
Last month, the company announced that it will be working with the National University of Singapore on new research into diseases, focusing on the area of analytical lipidomics.
