Eppendorf launches epTIPS Motion storage racks

Eppendorf has announced the launch of a user-friendly and environmentally sound new method of storing pipetting samples.

The company's new epTIPS Motion racks are designed for use with the Eppendorf epMotion automated pipetting system and are colour-coded to make it easy to differentiate between the 50 microlitre, 300 microlitre and 1,000 microlitre tip sizes.

Each rack is available in multiple purity grades, either with or without filters, while they also feature new Reload trays and TipHolder Adapters that come with 40 percent less packaging, thus reducing wastage.

Dr Oliver Franz, executive director for portfolio management automation for Eppendorf's PCR division, said the new product will make the pipetting process faster and more effective.

"The latest epTIPS Motion racks demonstrate our commitment to making automation even more intuitive and user-friendly," he added.

Earlier this week, the company was presented with a Logistics Award by Fisher Scientific thanks to the efficiency of its product delivery performance.
