Thermo Fisher Scientific demonstrates new developments at Pittcon
Thermo Fisher Scientific has demonstrated a range of new products at the Pittcon 2011 global laboratory science conference.
New software innovations for the healthcare research sector were displayed such as ExactFinder, which allows researchers to streamline their data processing, while new consumer safety offerings include TargetQuan for persistent organic pollutant screening.
In terms of analytical devices, the firm unveiled the Niton FXL field X-ray analyser and TruScan RM analyser, which allow products and chemicals to be inspected in a straightforward manner.
Meanwhile, the company's new Fisher Scientific Results programme for life science and routine analytical laboratory applications was also announced, which will deliver comprehensive solutions based on it entire product range.
Marc Casper, president and chief executive officer of Thermo Fisher Scientific, said: "As the world leader in serving science, our portfolio is not only the most comprehensive, it also meets our customers' demands for greater speed, increased precision and cost efficiency."
Last month, the company announced the sale of its Athena Diagnostics and Lancaster Laboratories subsidiaries as part of efforts to streamline its business.
