Agilent to launch AssayMAP Bravo protein preparation system

3rd February 2011

Agilent Technologies has announced the launch of a new high-throughput protein sample preparation and purification system.

The fully-automated AssayMAP Bravo platform and protein purification cartridges combines the functions of Agilent's Bravo device with its AssayMAP Protein A micro-chromatography technology.

It enables microscale purification of target antibodies in a fast, accurate manner, while reducing the amount of starting samples used via its disposable AssayMAP cartridge-based system, which uses a 96-channel microplate format.

The new solution also allows researchers to purify target proteins from a wide variety of sources, including cell culture supernatants, protein expression systems and hybridoma cultures.

Nitin Sood, general manager of Agilent's automation solutions division, said: "This launch offers a complete solution for a variety of sample prep applications and saves valuable time developing and validating assays, allowing customers to focus on generating business-critical data."

Last month, Agilent Technologies was named company of the year for 2010 by science sector publication Instrument Business Outlook.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800384196-ADNFCR
