Philips launches new EasyClean Sonicare brush

Philips has expanded its Sonicare power toothbrush range with the addition of a new lower-priced option.

The EasyClean brush is to be sold exclusively by distributor CTS Dental Wholesaler in the UK and is able to offer greater ease of use alongside all the traditional benefits of sonic brushing, reports Dentistry.co.uk.

Among the features of the new brush are its high-speed bristle motion, simple start/stop mechanisms and smart timer option, designed to ensure thorough cleaning in line with advice from dental professionals.

It also comes fitted with the manufacturer's ProResults brush head, which uses dynamic bristle movement to push fluid into interproximal spaces in order to combat plaque.

Philips states that the EasyClean brush is optimised for manual toothbrush users who have been recommended by dentists to switch to a power brush that offers improved cleaning.

According to data released last week, Philips experienced a year-on-year income rise in the fourth quarter of 2010, while earnings for the year as a whole reached record levels.
