Lab M to display new Clostridia medium at SfAM event

22nd December 2010

Lab M has announced plans to introduce its new Differential Reinforced Clostridial Medium ISO (DRCM) at a forthcoming Society for Applied Microbiology (SfAM) event.

The science company will attend the SfAM's winter meeting at Carlton House Terrace in London on January 12th 2011 in order to display several new products, including the new Clostridia medium.

According to the manufacturer, the new DRCM offering has been formulated using iron (III) citrate and can be used to detect spores of sulphite-reducing anaerobes, which are key indicators of intermittent and remote faecal contamination.

In addition to this, the company will be exhibiting media for isolating yeasts and moulds and a Staphylococcus aureus enrichment broth.

New additions to Lab M's Harlequin chromogenic media range and the MacConkey family of agars will also be showcased.

Last month, the company was in attendance at the Medica 2010 trade show in Germany, where it demonstrated many of these products.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800306751-ADNFCR
