Henry Schein maintains growth in third quarter
Henry Schein has published its financial report for the third quarter of 2010, a period which saw the company experience a record-breaking fiscal performance.
The firm's net sales for Q3 2010 advanced by 14.1 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year to reach a total of $1.9 billion (1.2 billion pounds), while income levels also experienced a double-digit boost.
Its international dental business was cited as a key driver of growth, with the UK named as one of the territories in which dental equipment sales were particularly strong.
Henry Schein's third quarter performance was encouraging enough to prompt the firm to increase the low end of its financial guidance for the full-year period.
Stanley Bergman, chairman and chief executive officer of Henry Schein, said: "We are pleased to be reporting strong top-line growth in local currencies for the quarter as we continue to see indications of market stability throughout our global business."
Last month, Henry Schein provided details of its continuing programme of charitable donations to a number of deprived areas, including Haiti, Pakistan and Chile.
