Hill and Knowlton wins Olympics brief from Procter and Gamble

1st November 2010

Hill and Knowlton is to assist health and personal care firm Procter and Gamble with its promotional activities during the 2012 Olympic Games as part of a new brief.

The agency has been awarded Procter and Gamble's Olympics activation programme in the UK ahead of the games in London, a contract that will see Hill and Knowlton work together with a number of other firms.

It will provide advice to Procter and Gamble on issues such as corporate communications, social engagement and consumer brand activation during the summer sporting event.

Procter and Gamble is hoping to build on the success it enjoyed when partnering Team USA at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, which helped to improve the company's market share and brand recognition.

It will be marketing more than 50 brands across 38 consumer product categories at the London games, which is "unprecedented" in the history of the event.

Last month, Hill and Knowlton expanded its capabilities by hiring former Merck Sharpe and Dohme marketing lead Damaris Anderson-Supple as its new UK chief operating officer.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800209418-ADNFCR
