Beckman Coulter reports year-on-year growth in Q3 2010

29th October 2010

Beckman Coulter has published its financial breakdown for the third quarter of 2010, reaffirming its confidence in meeting its business targets for the full year.

The scientific equipment manufacturer has posted an 8.6 percent year-over-year growth in revenue for the quarter, reaching a total of $893.8 million (561.1 million pounds).

Its acquisition of Olympus Diagnostics in 2009 has been credited with a major role in its business development, while immunoassay and cellular placement sales have seen improvements.

Bob Hurley, interim president and chief executive officer at Beckman Coulter, said the company is also taking steps – such as increasing research investment and working to improve customer service – to ensure future growth despite challenging market conditions.

He added: "Beckman Coulter has a strong installed base of customers, an enviable product pipeline and a 75-year history of meeting the needs of customers."

Mr Hurley has been serving as the interim head of the company since last month following the resignation of Scott Garrett.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800202465-ADNFCR
