Burson-Marsteller wins international consultancy of the year prize
Burson-Marsteller has been named as the year's top international consultancy at the 2010 PRWeek Awards.
The media agency beat four other companies to claim the title at the London event, as well as winning the best public affairs campaign prize.
This comes in a year that has seen Burson-Marsteller strengthen its UK office, which now represents the firm's lead team for around one-fifth of all of its major international client relationships.
It hired Joe Sinclair as its director and senior digital strategist and has won contracts with a number of leading global brands, including healthcare company Danone.
Matt Carter, chief executive at Burson-Marsteller UK, said: "This award is a tribute to the amazing team of smart PR professionals at Burson-Marsteller who in the last year have delivered some fantastic campaigns for our clients."
It is one of a number of industry awards won by Burson-Marsteller in 2010, having also been named as public affairs consultancy of the year by the Holmes Report earlier this year.
