TTP Labtech to demonstrate benefits of new LCP liquid handler
TTP Labtech is to showcase the benefits of its new lipidic cubic phase (LPC) liquid handler device at an upcoming industry event.
The science firm will attend the 2010 Advances in Protein Crystallography conference and exhibition in Italy next month to give a presentation on its latest innovation, the Mosquito LCP.
It offers a fully-automated means of conducting LCP screening processes, allowing crystallisation of membrane proteins such as G-protein coupled receptors to be accomplished more easily.
According to the manufacturer, the unit allows the throughput of crystallisation protocols in miniaturised LCP screening to be improved, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and user-friendliness.
Its incorporation of precisely-positioned buffer drops means that membrane crystals can be imaged effectively, while avoiding many of the expected difficulties with dispensing highly viscous lipids.
Last month, TTP Labtech announced the launch of a new chemotaxis research solution combining its Acumen eX3 microplate cytometer with the Iuvo Chemotaxis Assay Plate from BellBrook Labs.
