Aurora account director named among top young PR professionals

Aurora account director and digital lead Aaron Pond has been selected as one of the most promising young professionals working in the PR business today.

Industry publication PRWeek has named Mr Pond in its annual PRWeek 29 Under 29 ranking after he won recognition from a panel of industry experts.

The 28-year-old was the healthcare media agency's first recruit and is now in charge of its biggest account with pharmaceutical giant Novartis, as well as working with leading healthcare companies such as Lilly and UCB.

Aurora managing director Claire Eldridge expressed confidence that Mr Pond – who also acts as an ambassador and representative for the firm – will eventually go on to run his own agency.

She said: "I have no doubt this will be the case if we ever let him go. He is one of the best hires we have made."

PRWeek reported that Mr Pond's promotion to his current role came in August 2010, coinciding with the appointment of Sarah Hoffman as associate director and Katie Armson as senior account executive.
